The members of Tablighi Jammat are resorting to new lows. They are now making life difficult for the hospital staff. After evacuation from Nizamuddin, they were sent to hospitals for their COVID-19 diagnosis and isolation. Some of them are quarantined at MMG District Hospital in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad.
In Ghaziabad’s hospital, they were reported walking around the ward without their trousers. Further, they were making lewd gestures towards the nurses. That’s not all they are also defying the social distancing measures. They are coming and sitting together. They are also seen spitting here and there in the hospital intentionally.
The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of the hospital informed the local police about the incident last night. An FIR has been registered against 6 people at Ghantaghar police station. The CMO further said that the Jamaat members are also demanding cigarettes and bidi from doctors and staff nurses. CM of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath has come hard at the members of the Jammat.
The state government directed that women health workers and women police personnel will not be deployed to treat them. Further, a directive ordering stern action under the National Security Act (NSA) has been issued. “They will not obey the law. They are enemies of humanity, what they have done to women health workers, is a heinous crime. NSA is being imposed on them, we will not spare them at all“, said CM Adityanath. A similar kind of action was taken by Madhya Pradesh government on those who pelted stones on health workers yesterday.
