Coronavirus outbreak has resulted in deadly consequences across the world. As many as 106 people have been reported dead and thousands across the world are dealing with coronavirus symptoms.
The mass outbreak of the virus in China has alerted countries from across the world to take preventive measures and India is no exception. Though some people in India are being observed under the suspension of being positive of the virus, no immediate case of Coronavirus has been reported in India as of now.
Amidst this, the government-owned PIB has released an advisory detailing about homeopathic ways to deal with the virus.
The advisory suggests some healthy hacks like making sure you cover your face during coughing or sneezing, maintain hygiene, etc. to thwart the possibility of the virus attack.

Besides hacks, the advisory also shared some Unnai medicines that the government claim can help fight the virus.
Criticism
However, this didn’t go well with the people. Soon after the tweet was shared, people began accusing government of finding a way to promote unnai and even called the same as misinformation.
For the unaware, Novel Coronavirus is a new kind of virus medication to which has not been developed yet. And people made sure the government is aware of the same.

This is absolute madness. The advice is a mix of

a) standard @WHO advice (hygiene, hand washing, etc) AND
b) a series of herbs/potions etc which are at best useless, at worst toxic due to processing impurities. But the real danger is people will ignore (a) and practice (b).

It will disproportionately affect the already immunochallenged, and the aged.
It is extremely irresponsible to suggest prophylactic measures where none exist.
This is not just ridiculous, downright shameful.

It's still wondering why this govt is so obsessed with quack medicine over serious health crisis. Govt will lose credibility pushing things like in the time of global crisis.@narendramodi @jpnadda
