Yes, that is what the latest song from the Bollywood movie Khali Peeli is. Racist. And after listening to the song, the Indian audience came out in huge numbers to apologise to Beyonce and shamed Bollywood for its obsession with fair skin and song on the same lines.
The chorus of the song goes like this, “Oh tujhe dekh ke goriya… Beyonce sharma jayegi,” which people possibly think means – After looking at you fair woman, Beyonce will feel shy.

The makers, Vishal-Shekhar, might not have thought it that way but the lyrics obviously didn’t sit well among the Indian audience. And the fact that it comes at a time when Black Lives Matter protests are raging across the world fuels the disapproval.
