Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan gave an interview on RT; state run television network of Russia on his two days visit to Moscow. He said that he would like a TV debate with India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi to resolve differences between two countries. He also talked with Vladimir Putin and exchanged ideas and thoughts on several regional and international issues.
His response to a question was, “I would love to debate with Narendra Modi on TV.” He added that it would be good for billions of people if issue between two neighboring countries can be resolved over a debate.
He told that his political party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf formed the government in Pakistan in 2018. Immediately after making the government his party reached out to Indian government and asked them to sit down together and resolve the differences over Kashmir. Imran Khan said that government led by PM Narendra Modi did not give a positive response to the efforts made.

In 2016, Pakistan based terror groups attacked Pathankot Air Force base which caused huge loss of life. Another attack was made on Army camp in Uri followed by few more attacks to the result of which several Indian soldiers martyred. Since then the relations between India and Pakistan have been rough.
In 2019, Indian Army launched an airstrike on Jaish-e-Mohammed Terrorist training camp on February 6. It was a response to Pulwama Terror attack in which 40 soldiers of CRPF got killed. Later that year, India crushed the special status of Jammu and Kashmir and divided the territory into two union territories, Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
India has always told Pakistan not to interfere in internal affairs of the country. Jammu and Kashmir is integral part of India and Pakistan should leave anti-India propaganda if it wants a good relation.
Imran Khan said, “I am not a believer in military conflicts. I believe the civilized societies resolve the difference through dialogues and countries that rely on military conflicts have not studied history properly.”
