Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday, on his 2-day visit to Gujarat on the occasion of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel 145th birth anniversary, inaugurated the Kevadia-Sabarmati water aerodromes and the seaplane service.
The seaplane service will connect the 200-km apart Sabarmati River Front in Ahmedabad and Kevadia together and will reduce travel time from the usual four hours (by road) to a mere 45 minutes.

One side ticket price for a ride on the seaplane has been capped at ₹1,400. And two incoming and two outgoing flights will operate every day.

Spicejet and the government of India have partnered to commence the first of its kind service in India, which PM Modi believes will help boost tourism around the Statue of Unity region and in Gujarat.
Those using the service can expect a spectacular view of Sardar Patel’s Statue of Unity at Kevadia.
PM Modi is on a two-day visit to Gujarat to mark the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas. Earlier in the day, he had paid tribute at the world’s tallest statue and also spoke about the need to keep India integrated into one strong nation.

Yesterday too, PM Modi had inaugurated several key projects around the Statue of Unity including Ekta Mall, Arogya Van, Cactus Garden and more.
