Prime Minister Narendra Modi revealed a 9,500 Kg bronze National Emblem placed on the roof of the new parliament building.
Bronze National Emblem- What Do We Know So Far
The structure is 6.5m high and weighs 9,500 Kg. Made up of bronze with the supporting structure that also weighs 6,500 Kg.
Before unveiling, the PM also interacted with the workers involved in its construction process. This massive bronze emblem had undergone eight stages from its proposal to the final construction step.
A senior official from CPWD said, “The structure weighs 9,500kg and is 4.4m in width. It has been cast at the top of the Central Foyer of the New Parliament Building. A supporting structure of steel weighing around 6,500kg has been constructed to support the Emblem.”
