PM Modi is all set to inaugurate the four-lane Bundelkhand Expressway, 296 Km long, at a program going to be conducted in Jalaun District of Uttar Pradesh today. The PM also said that the project Bundelkhand Expressway will “boost the local economy and connectivity”, on Friday.

“Tomorrow, 16th July is a special day for my sisters and brothers of the Bundelkhand region. At a program in the Jalaun district, the Bundelkhand Expressway will be inaugurated. This project will boost the local economy and connectivity”, he tweeted.
Here Are The 10 Features To Show How Much Important Bundelkhand Expressway Project Is:
This expressway is 296 Km long and constructed under Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) for around ₹14,850 crores.
The current design of this four-lane highway is built to be expanded up to six lanes later.
This expressway will directly impact the transportation and traveling standards which will provide a major boost to connectivity and the economy. Also, industrial development is more likely to ascend with this project which will result in more and more job opportunities for the locals.
Bundelkhand expressway finally merges into Agra-Lucknow Expressway, it extends from NH-35 at Gonda village near Bharatkoop and ends at “Chitrakoot district to Kudrail village in Etawah district”.
Expressway will pass through seven districts including, “ Chitrakoot, Banda, Mahoba, Hamirpur, Jalaun, Auraiya, and Etawah.”
The construction work of the expressway is done within 28 months. In February 2020, PM Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of the highway.
Construction of an alternate corridor right next to Bundelkhand Highway in the Banda and Jalaun districts has already begun
According to PM Modi, “There will be great industrial development in the region and this would bring more opportunities for the local youth.”

As per PMO, “the government has been committed to enhancing connectivity across the country – a key feature of which has been the work towards improvement in road infrastructure.”
Intense security arrangements have been made in the district ahead of PM Modi’s visit. Hotels and restaurants have been secured by the authorities, as per district headquarters.
