Amidst the rise in the number of COVID-19 cases and the tensions with China Prime Minister (PM), Narendra Modi would address the nation today. Though he had a session of his monthly ‘Mann Ki Baat‘ last Sunday he will today address the nation at 4:00 P.M to make some announcement. The announcement came yesterday through a tweet from PMO.
The announcement from PMO came a little after the announcement of the ban on the 59 Chinese apps in India. The PM is expected to make some statement about the escalation of tensions with China at LAC. There may be another voicing of his call for ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ which has been a mantra of the government since his last address in May.
There might also be announcements related to Unlock 2 which is to come in force from tomorrow. During his last address, the PM made the big announcement of the 20 lakh crore relief package. This was followed by an address by the Finance Minister on multiple days to explain the details of the package.
With two big issues China and it’s virus the COVID-19 troubling India the two would be the matter of discussion by PM. As the clock moves towards 4:00 PM the nation would once again be waiting to listen to the PM and his address.
