As the 21 days, national lockdown would enter its last day tomorrow, that is 14th April, ‘further announcements’ are awaited. While many of the states like Odisha and Punjab have already extended the lockdown till 30th April, PM Modi would address the nation tomorrow at 10 AM.
The Prime Minister is highly likely to make the announcement about the extension of the lockdown. The decision in this regard was recently taken during the meeting with all the Chief Ministers. Almost all the state CMs were in favor of the extension of the lockdown.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal earlier tweeted that PM Modi has taken the right decision by extending the lockdown. He made the tweet soon after the meeting. Though no official announcement from PMO was made after that. This would now be done tomorrow by the PM. The lockdown is expected to be extended by 2 more weeks.
Apart from lockdown extension other announcements are also expected to be made by PM Modi. This would be in regards to ‘which services’ would be allowed to resume from 15th April. Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh government has decided that construction work would start from 15th April.

“Construction on government projects will resume from April 15 in Uttar Pradesh while maintaining norms of social distancing by workers“, said Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya. Since it is the time of crop cutting the PM can announce the start of farming activities. Railways have meanwhile said that they would operate some special trains after 14th April. For now, all eyes are on tomorrow 10:00 A.M.
