Police across the country have not only been trying to successfully implement the lockdown but are also being the good samaritan when necessary. There have been incidents when police have come forward to help the needy with things they are even not supposed to help them with.
Like one policeman recently paid a patient’s Rs. 20,000 hospital bill who was in dire need of an operation. In one similar incident, police stepped up once again to make an elderly man’s birthday a special occasion for him. The incident was recorded in Panchkula, Haryana where Karan Puri, who lives alone, was visited by the local police with a cake.

In the video shared by an IPS officer, the police can be seen asking the man his name as he walks out of his house. Surely he had no idea about the surprise that awaits him. As he moves out of his house police begin to sing him the birthday song and the senior citizen was left awe-struck.
The birthday boy can’t hold on to his emotions and burst into tears on being offered a cake. “Koi baat nahi sir, aapki family hain hum bhi,” a policeman told Puri.
The kind video soon went viral and people rushed in to laud the efforts of the police.
