Greater Noida: In a shocking event, the restaurant owner in Greater Noida was allegedly killed by a delivery boy on Wednesday after a dispute takes place due to a delay in an order. However, the city police said that the restaurant owner murder incident is under prob and we are in search of the accused.
Later, police said in a statement that three accused have been arrested after a brief chase and gunfight. Police clarified and said that the Swiggy delivery boy wasn’t among the three accused in respect to the earlier claims.
Police arrested three people in connection with the incident: a Swiggy delivery boy, identified as Sunil and two others, Devendra and Vikas Chaudhary. The deceased identified as Sunil, use to run Zam Zam food delivery restaurant in Greater Noida‘s Mitra Society.

Additional DCP Greater Noida Vishal Pandey said, “Identified as Vikas, the main accused was shot in the leg, while the other two – Devender and Sunil – were taken into custody after they tried to make a run for it.”
Greater Noida DCP also added to his statement that “The three were hanging around outside the restaurant in an inebriated state when a food delivery agent was arguing with the restaurant staff. They somehow got involved and shot the restaurant owner who was trying to intervene. They appeared to be drunk.”
The police updates say, the delivery boy came to the restaurant at 12.15 AM on Wednesday to collect an order of chicken biryani and puri sabzi. After the order was handed over to the owner, a worker at the restaurant told the delivery boy that the second-order would take some time. However, the delivery boy got angry over this and broke out into a fight with the worker.

After this, the restaurant owner intervened between the two, the accused shot at his head. The owner was soon taken to Yatharth Hospital where the doctor was declared brought dead.
As per updates from police officials, the eyewitnesses said the accused was under the influence of alcohol and he was accompanied by another man who helped in the killing of the restaurant owner.
