The first phase of the assembly elections in Jharkhand kicked off on Saturday with polling being held at 13 constituencies. The 81 seat assembly would see polls being held in 5 phases starting today.

Fortune of 189 candidates would be sealed in the ballot in the first phase of the multi-phase election. Naxal hit districts Latehar and Manika are also polling under the first phase of elections.

As per inputs from ANI, 27.41% voting was recorded till 11 AM on Saturday. The second phase of polling would be held on December 7th.
