Union Minister of State for Rural Development Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti sparked controversy with her remarks on Sunday. The minister said that the government can bring a ‘population control law’ after CAA.
She said that she has already spoken to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in this regard. Jyoti said that she discussed the importance of the law with the PM. The minister said this while interacting with the press at Vrindavan. The BJP MP was here to attend a tribute meeting held at Swami Vamdev Jyotirmath in Chaitanya Vihar.
“There was a time when abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir was impossible. It was feared that if such a thing happens, there will be a bloodbath. No one will behold the national flag in Kashmir. But this government can bring any law in favor of the nation”, she said.
