The iconic Pragati Maidan metro station of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) that lies in proximity to the Supreme Court is set to get a new name. The metro station DMRC’s blue line would be renamed as Supreme Court station.
Delhi’s Deputy CM Manish Sisodia made the announcement about the name change. Mr. Sisodia said that the decision has been taken after multiple requests have been received in this regard. He further said that the changes will reflect in Delhi Metro’s systems in a month’s time.

Apart from the Pragati Maidan metro station Mukarba Chowk and flyover metro stations have also been renamed as Shaheed Captain Vikram Batra Chowk “in retrospect to the Kargil War martyr.
