Akshay Kumar’s much-awaited film Prithviraj trailer is out today. The film is going to be released in theaters on June 3.
Prithviraj Trailer Launched
Akshay Kumar starrer Prithviraj’s trailer was released on Monday. Produced by Yash Raj Films, the trailer reveals the story of king Prithviraj Chauhan of the Chauhan dynasty. The film is directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi. The trailer revolves around the first battle of Tarain which was fought between Prithviraj Chauhan and Muhammad Ghori.
Khiladi Kumar of Bollywood shared the trailer on his social media accounts with his fans and followers. He wrote, “Shaurya Aur veerta ki amar kahaani. Ye hai kahaani Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan Ki (this is story of Prithviraj Chauhan) Released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Celebrate Samrat #Prithviraj Chauhan with #YRF50 only at a theater near you on 3rd June.”
The trailer of the period drama opens with heavy dialogues where Prithviraj Chauhan is being crowned as the king of Delhi.
Former miss world Manshi Chillar is making her Bollywood debut with this war film. She is playing the character of princess Sanyogita, wife of Prithviraj Chauhan.

The Saga of Bravery
The promising trailer shows the saga of bravery, courage, patriotism, and romance. The movie is based on Prithviraj Raso which is an epic poem that narrates the story of Prithviraj Chauhan. Sanjay Dutt is playing the role of the uncle of Prithviraj Chauhan. Sonu Sood is seen as Chandravardai, a dearest friend of the king.
Before the trailer was released, the film caught attention when a petition was filed for modification of the title of the film. It was filed by Rashtriya Pravasi Parishad. It said that using the name of a great emperor without a suitable prefix was hurting public sentiments However, the plea was rejected by the court.
In a press release, actor Akshay Kumar said that the film will be a tribute to the mighty ruler. He said,” He is a legend, he is one of the bravest warriors and he is one of the most upright kings that our country has ever seen. We hope that Indians worldwide love our salute to this mighty braveheart. We have tried to present his life story in the most authentic way possible and the film is a homage to his unmatched bravery and courage.”
Other characters are played by Ashutosh Rana, Manav Vij, and Sakshi Tanwar.
