In Delhi, Police Detained Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and other protesting Congress leaders. They were detained today from outside the party headquarters while protesting against current unemployment and price-rise conditions.
Priyanka Gandhi Dragged To The Police Van
Priyanka Gandhi dressed in ‘black’ with other party leaders to mark their protests against the Government. The situation became intense when she crossed the police set up a barricade, outside the party headquarters, by jumping over it. Then she squatted down on the road and police officials were seen asking her to move as section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) was in effect. Section 144 was imposed in the New Delhi district except for Jantar Mantar.
Earlier the same day, in the Parliament House complex, while dressed in black, Congress MPs and Rahul Gandhi directed a protest and marched towards Rashtrapati Bhawan.
The protesting MPs were reciting slogans loudly against the government with the demand that Goods and Service Tax on some essential commodities should be withdrawn. On the other hand party Chief Sonia Gandhi is seen with women protestors holding banners outside Parliament gate number 1.

In the end, protestors were stopped by the Delhi Police and were not allowed to march toward the Rashtrapati Bhawan. Sonia Gandhi was not part of March, while other MPs were detained by the Police at Vijay Chowk.
