Taking in consideration the plight of migrant workers the Supreme Court come to their rescue. With all those disturbing scenes from deaths to hunger as we saw in the last few days that tore apart our migrant workers’ relief can come now.
Coming clear the apex court said that no bus/train fare shall be charged from migrant workers. “They should be provided with food by the state; railways to provide food and water on trains,“, said the court on Thursday. The Supreme court also took into consideration the workers walking on foot.
“Migrants found traveling on foot must be immediately taken to shelters and provided food and all basic facilities“, said the court. The judiciary held the state and central government guilty of poor management of migrants.

“We are concerned with the difficulties of migrants trying to get to their native place. There are several lapses that we’ve noticed in the process of registration,transportation&provision of food&water to them“, said the court. The intervention through late has bought some relief to the migrants. The matter would be next heard on 5th June.
