Taking a move towards the construction of ‘Ram Mandir’ in Ayodhya Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a crucial announcement. The PM on Wednesday announced the constitution of ‘Shri Ram Janambhoomi Tirath Kshetra’. The trust would oversee the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
The trust has been constituted following the Supreme Court’s ruling in the decades-old case in November last year. “We have readied a scheme for the development of Ram Temple in Ayodhya. A trust has been formed, it is called ‘Shri Ram Janambhoomi Tirath Kshetra’,” the Prime Minister said in the Lok Sabha.
On 9th November last year, a 5 judge bench of Supreme Court ruled unanimously in favour of Ram Lalla. The court said the entire disputed land spread over 2.7-acre will be handed over to a trust formed by the government.
