Humanity is shamed by the death of a pregnant elephant in Kerala. The incident which is of many that got noticed exposed the cruel reality of mankind. The painful death of the elephant fed with pineapple stuffed with crackers by locals raised a voice for stopping this cruelty.
Popular business tycoon and philanthropist Ratan Tata also expressed his grief on the tragic death of the elephant. Ratan Tata shared a post on social media condemning the act. He compared the act to a “meditated murder” and called for justice for the animal. “ I am grieved and shocked to know that a group of people caused the death of an innocent, passive, pregnant elephant by feeding the elephant with a pineapple filled with firecrackers“, he tweeted.
He ended his post with the call that “Justice needs to prevail”. Meanwhile, Union Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar said action would be taken against culprits. “We will not leave any stone unturned to investigate properly and nab the culprit(s)“, he said. Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan also called for strict action.

“Forest department is probing the case…culprits will be brought to book“, said the Kerala CM said. “Kerala Government…seems…scared. An elephant is killed every three days in Kerala”, said BJP MP Maneka Gandhi.
