As you were gearing up for Akshay Kumar’s much-awaited upcoming ‘cop’ action drama ‘Sooryavanshi‘ the date of release is postponed. The movie which was slated for a 24th March release would not be released on that date now.
The decision has been taken as cinema halls across various states have been shut down due to coronavirus scare. The movie is co-produced by Reliance Entertainment, Dharma Productions, Rohit Shetty and Akshay Kumar.“Due to the recent outburst of COVID-19, we the makers have decided to postpone the release of your film Sooryavanshi, keeping in mind the health and safety of our beloved audience, said the makers in an official statement. The new date of release has not been announced.
The movie starring Katrina Kaif, Gulshan Grover, Jackie Shroff, etc apart from Akshay creates a link with Rohit Shetty’s other two cop action movies. It brings together Ajay Devgan as ‘Singham’ from the popular Rohit Shetty franchisee with the new cop based movie “Simbaa” where actor “Ranveer Singh” has played the lead role.

No other movie like the ‘Angrezi Medium’ that releases today have shown such intentions of postpone. If the scare of Coronvairus continues to shut the cinemas further then such actions can be expected from producers of upcoming movies as well.
