Last Saturday Reliance Jio network observed a network down scenario. Users had no network for more than 8 hours straight. The company has decided two offer a two day free service to all such users who had to face the problems. The free service will be added to numbers of such users automatically. Under free service, the current plan that user had would get extended for two days.
The company has identified users that had to face problem of network down scene and company has forwarded this text to the users.
“As a goodwill gesture, we are extending a 2 Day Rental Credit that will get applied to your number automatically. The complementary rental credit will reflect in your next bill.”

This is not the first time when Jio has pulled such a concern for its users. It happened in 2021 when network was down for long hours. You should note that the benefit of free service will only come to those who have received the above said message. The enter telecom base of the company will not get the benefit.
After the network break down company did not give any official explanation about the reason for network error. Reliance Jio did not respond to queries made by media houses. The same thing happened last year and users had to face problems.
People have said that by offering a two day service Jio is just giving out a benefit of Rs 20-40 which is not enough. The problems caused during lost network connection cannot be compensated with such a small benefit and Jio should give an official answer. Hopefully, a telecom giant as big as Reliance Jio would address this issue; and it won’t be repeated again.
The benefit given against the network down issue might be less but it’s good that company did something about it and did not let it go unaddressed.
