Delhi Police has released a guideline regarding Republic Day Parade. People who are vaccinated with both doses will only be allowed to attend the function. Children below 15 years will not be allowed to attend the function.
People should strictly follow Covid protocols at the venue Rajpath on January 26. All the attendants should wear masks properly and maintain social distancing.
Delhi Police tweeted, “It is necessary to have both doses of anti-coronavirus vaccine. Visitors are requested to bring their vaccination certificate.”
National Covid Vaccination Program started from January 16 2021 and started with health care and frontline workers. Now children 15 years and above are eligible to get the vaccination.
Delhi Police also said in guidelines that seating blocks will open at 7 AM for visitors and requested people to arrive on time.

They have also requested people to come to attend the function in taxi or use carpool. There is very limited number of parking space. People who are attending the Republic Day Parade function should carry valid government issued ID Cards with them.
Delhi Police tweeted, “There will be a provision for depositing remote-controlled car lock keys in each parking area.”
Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana has said that over 27,000 police personnel have been deployed in the capital for security purpose. They will also check terror activities in the view of Republic Day.
He said, “These personnel include deputy commissioners of police, assistant commissioners of police and inspectors, sub-inspectors. Police personnel, commandos, officers and jawans of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) have also been deployed.”
He had mentioned that the anti-terror measures taken include blockades (nakka bandi) at various places, checking of vehicles, hotels, lodges and dharamshalas and various verification drives like that of tenants, servants, labourers. He told that anti-terror measures are being taken past 2 months due to growing tension in neighboring countries.
For air space security Delhi Police will use Counter Drone Technology in and around the Rajpath. Delhi Police has also said that they will be giving information through social media. They will also share facts and information online. This step is taken to control the fake news that anti-social elements run to mislead people
