Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan has been ruled out of the Indian squad for the upcoming 3-match T20I series against the West Indies following an injury. He would be replaced by wicket-keeper, batsman Sanju Samson.

Shikhar hurt his left knee during a Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy game against Maharashtra in Surat. Dhawan who is also a part of India’s ODI squad against West Indies is likely to miss the ODI series as well as it would take some time for him to recover.

The 3-match T20I series against the West Indies starts 6th of December with opening match to be played at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad.
