Hearing a case on journalist and author Jamal Khashoggi’s assassination (took place in 2018) Saudi Court has announced a death sentence for 5. The court has also sentenced 3 more people a jail term.
A jail term totaling to 24 years has been offered to the 3 persons. Khashoggi who was assassinated last year while he visited the Saudi consulate in Istanbul was reported to have gone missing since then.

Recently the Saudi Arabia’s crown prince Mohammed bin Salman accepted that Khashoggi was killed by his regime.
