State Bank of India hiked FD Rates by up to 10 basis points and it will be applicable for fixed deposits below Rs 2 crore. The new rate is applicable from January 15, 2022.
The interest rate on fixed deposits for 1-2 years has been increased from 5.0% to 5.1%. The interest rates on tenure other than that remain unchanged.
The highest rate of interest is 5.4% which is provided to fixed deposits of tenure between 5-10 years. For tenure of 2-3 years the interest rate is 5.10% and for 3-5 years it is 5.30%.
Senior citizens get extra benefits of 50 basis points on fixed deposits.
