“SBI WeCare”, a unique fixed deposit program for senior persons that give higher interest rates on terms between five and ten years, and “Amrit Kalash” schemes have been given an extension by the State Bank of India (SBI).
SBI bank mentioned on its website that “SBI takes pride in its association with Senior Citizens and introduces a new Deposit Scheme “SBI WECARE’ protecting their income by offering additional interest on Term Deposits,”

SBI WeCare
- SBI WeCare has been extended till September 30, 2023. The program is offered for both new deposits and the renewal of maturing accounts.
- SBI Wecare offers a 7.50% interest rate.
- The only people who can take advantage of this program giving higher FD interest rates are elderly people.
- The minimum and maximum investment terms are five and ten years, respectively.
- Senior people receive 0.5% higher interest rates from SBI, while rates on standard fixed deposits range from 3.50% to 7.50% for terms lasting from 7 days to 10 years.
SBI Amrit Kalash
- SBI Amrit Kalash programme has been extended till 30th June 2023.
- The SBI YONO app, online banking, and SBI branches are the available booking options for the SBI Amrit Kalash FD Scheme.
