The country’s largest Public Sector lender, State Bank of India has launched its WhatsApp banking services for its consumers to execute basic level banking tasks from the comfort of their homes. These operations include checking mini statements and account balances in one go. A mini statement provided on WhatsApp will contain the last five transactions of the requester.
SBI Launched WhatsApp Banking Services
The lender has informed and made its customers more aware of its newly launched WhatsApp banking services through Twitter. “Your bank is now on WhatsApp. Get to know your Account Balance and view Mini Statements on the go,” the caption reads of a tweet posted by SBI.
How To Register Yourself For SBI WhatsApp Banking Services?
To register yourself to avail the benefits of SBI WhatsApp Banking, first, you will need to give your consent by SMS service.
If you are not registered yet, then as soon as you save the number and send a message you will receive a reply, “You are not registered for SBI WhatsApp Banking. To register and provide your consent for using these services, kindly send the following SMS WAREG A/c No to 917208933148 from your Registered Mobile No with the Bank. You can view the detailed T&C for these services on the bank.sbi,” from the SBI bot.

- After registering yourself send ‘Hi’ on this number 919022690226. In case you have already received a message from SBI which says, “Dear Customer, You are successfully registered for SBI WhatsApp Banking services”, just send a reply with ‘Hi’.
- On the next step, you will receive the below message:
“Dear Customer, Welcome to SBI Whatsapp Banking Services!
Please choose from any of the options below.
- Account Balance
- Mini Statement
- Deregister from WhatsApp Banking
You may also type your query to get started.
- Then as per your requirement send the reply like 1 or 2 or 3. As per your replies, you will receive the responses.
