The apex court lashed at the Punjab government on Wednesday for failing to curb the practice of stubble burning in the state. The Supreme Court said that the state government has miserably failed in there duty.
A bench headed by Justice Arun Mishra directed the state government of Punjab and Haryana to ensure that no stubble burning takes place. Stubble burning by farmers in the state of Punjab and Haryana has been a contributor to the air pollution.

Last week Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal also blamed the two states for not taking actions on there part.
