The introduction of Apple iOS 17 was a huge step forward regarding functionality, accessibility, and improved user experience; however, not all improvements were included in the software update announced with the iPhone 15 launch.
According to sources, iOS 17.2 will be a massive update with many new features introduced during the event for iPhone customers. The features that will be included in the upcoming update are as follows. Apple has not announced an official release date for the update as of this writing, but it is in testing.
iOS 17.2 Features
- Apple Music: Users of the company’s music streaming service will be able to add a song to their Favorite Song Playlist.
- iMessage Sticker Reactions: In iOS 17.2, users will be able to react to a specific message with any sticker by clicking on the Add Sticker option in the messaging app’s Tapback Menu.
- Apple Journal App: The highly anticipated Journal app will be included in the iOS 17.2 update, allowing users to log their day and memories using text, photographs, music, and audio files. Based on the user’s activities, the program will make personalized recommendations.
- Action Button Translation: Another fascinating feature unveiled for the iPhone 15 Pro series is the action button. Users will be able to translate languages using Dynamic Island since the Action button may be assigned to a certain activity.
- Vision Pro Spatial Video: With the upgrade, users of the iPhone 15 Pro series will be able to record 3D spatial video for playback in the future Vision Pro headset.
- New Widgets: iOS 17.2 will have a new lock screen and home screen widgets. It will have the Daily Forecast, Sunrise Sunset, and other features.
- Contact Posters Rainbow Text: As of iOS 17.2, you may select to have your name shown in a rainbow of colours when making a Contact Poster in the Contacts app.
