Soon you would be able to surf the internet while onboard a flight thousands of feet above the ground. The In-flight Wi-Fi would very soon come to the flights. The government in a recent notification has allowed airlines to provide in-flight Wi-Fi services in India.
In the flight Wi-Fi Pilot-in-Command would permit the access of Internet services by passengers on board an aircraft. Passengers would be able to use the Wi-fi in laptop, smartphone, tablet, smartwatch, e-reader or a point of sale device in flight mode or airplane mode.
As per inputs, Vistara Airlines would be the first to offer the service on its flights. Vistara CEO Leslie Thng had told reporters on Friday that their Boeing 787-9 aircraft would be the first to roll out the service.

This means that now passengers would be able to watch movies, chat with friends and family and do other basic web functions while on board. However, this may not come all free as the airlines would be shelling money to install connectivity equipment. So, it can be a pay and use system for the passengers.
