South Korean automobile company Hyundai has hired an Ex-NASA engineer to lead its flying car production plan. The company plans to deploy flying taxis in the skies above the world’s biggest cities as a part of its future growth strategy.
Dr. Jaiwon Shin (Ex-NASA Engineer) would lead Hyundai’s newly-formed Urban Air Mobility division that is tasked with the responsibility of manufacturing flying cars.
Hyundai predicts the market for flying cars would worth $1.5 trillion by 2039.
