Students of the prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) clashed with cops as hundreds of them were protesting against the decision to hike the fee. The Police was seen jostling with the students who wanted to meet the vice-chancellor.

As per the JNU students union, the fee hike would affect an overwhelming number of students and would deny those from the deprived sections to avail education if they cannot pay.

Meanwhile, Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal was stuck at the AICTE auditorium where JNU’s convocation was held as the students continued there protest against the fee hike.
