The Supreme court of India on Friday said that it will hear petitions seeking removal of Shaheen Bagh protesters after the Delhi election scheduled for Feburary 8. Commenting on the petition filed before the court, the bench of justices Sanjay Kishan Kaul and KM Joseph said that “we understand there is a problem” adding that it will hear the issue on Feburary 10.

The petition said that the blockade of Shaheen Bagh route has caused overburdening of DND, Akshardham and Ashram routes. In addition, the diversions made are causing inconvenience to the public leading to the wastage of time, money and fuel.
