In a story of courage, determination and love for her child, a woman from Telegana, literally rode 1,400 km on her scooty to bring her son back home who was stranded in Andhra Pradesh amidst lockdown.
The woman named Razia Begum, 48, with police permission, drove the scooter for 3 days to bring her child back home safely. The story may not be one of the best you have heard but is a sheer example of what a mother is capable of doing for their child.
“It was a difficult journey on a small two-wheeler for a woman. But the determination to bring my son back overtook all my fears. I packed rotis and they kept me going. It was fearsome in the nights with no traffic movement and people on roads,” the brave mother told PTI on Thursday.

Ms. Razia is a government school headmistress from Bodhan town in the Nizamabad district. She had lost her husband 15 years ago and ever since is survived by her two sons, an engineering graduate, and 19-year old Nizamuddin, aspiring to join MBBS.
The latter had gone to Rahamatabad in Nellore district on 12 March to drop his friend and stayed back there. Meanwhile, the lockdown was announced following the coronavirus outbreak and he could not return.
The son used to talk to her on the phone and wanted to join the family as soon as possible. It was then she decided that she would bring him back. The internet is hailing the courage of the mother.
