The India-Nepal relations are surely going through the toughest of times and now the border tension has come up. As per reports from India Today firing have taken place at the India-Nepal border in Bihar’s Sitamarhi. 1 person has been killed in this firing as per the reports.
The person killed was an Indian. Apart from this two others are injured. The incident took place at Lalbandi-Janki Nagar border, Mohoba village, under Sonebarsha police station on Friday. However, It was not a confrontation between the two armies. Rather locals were involved.
The incident took place between locals and the Armed Police Force (APF) of Nepal said Sanjay Kumar, Inspector General (IG) of the SSB’s Patna Frontier. An Indian national, Laagan Yadav (45), has been taken into custody by the Nepal border police. Vikesh Yadav (22) is the one who succumbed to bullet injury.
Uday Thakur (24) and Umesh Ram (18) are 2 people who are injured. As per reports, the confrontation began when APF troops objected to the presence of Laagan Yadav’s daughter-in-law in their area after they saw her talking to some people from India, they said. Laagan Yadav’s daughter-in-law is from Nepal. Since the borders are not fenced locals on either side of the border have relations.

APF has claimed that they first fired in the air to disperse the crowd and fearing snatching of their weapons, they later initiated aimed fire in which three people got hit. Nepal had closed its international borders on March 22 with India due to COVID-19 spread.
