The world is furious with China for its hiding of the COVID-19 pandemic and the worst-hit U.S. tops that list. Though the relations between the U.S. and China have not been good it has now gone worse. The president of the U.S. Donald Trump has made some tough statements.
Trump has said that he has no interest in speaking to the dragon nation’s President Xi Jinping right now. He further said that he could even cut ties with the Asian nation. The economic war of the U.S with the 2nd largest economy of the world was going on for quite a time. From trade wars to coronavirus things have gone wrong.
The American president is disappointed with China’s failure to contain the disease and it affects on a trade deal signed between the two nations. “They should have never let this happen. So I make a great trade deal and now I say this doesn’t feel the same to me. The ink was barely dry and the plague came over. And it doesn’t feel the same to me“, said Trump.
He said that by cutting the ties the country would save $500 billion on its imports. China responded to this quickly. ” This president once suggested COVID-19 patients inject disinfectants,” Hu said on Twitter. Remember this and you won’t be surprised when he said he could cut off the whole relationship with China“, said Hu Xijin editor in chief of China’s influential Global Times tabloid. With elections in the U.S. later this year Trump can go tough on China to gain that limelight.
