EPF services are provided on the UMANG app for tracking PF balances and filing claims. There is now a special EPFO portal where you can access all of the services. The UMANG app is the only official app through which EPFO services can be accessed.
The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and the National e-Governance Division (NeGD) created the UMANG app, which stands for Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance, to advance mobile governance.
UMANG is a single platform via which all Indian residents may access pan-India e-Government services from Central to Local Government organizations. Aadhaar, EPF, PAN, Passport, DigiLocker, Bharat BillPay, and other services are available through various government agencies and companies.
Users can use the UMANG app to apply for Partial / Final PF Settlement. Users can also activate their EPFO UAN on Umang under Employee Centric Services. SMS cannot be used to activate UAN. However, you may use the UMANG app to activate UAN. You can also use the UMANG app to file withdrawal, advance, and pension claims (after e-Nomination).

Steps To View Your Your EPF passbook on the UMANG app
- Search EPFO
- Click on View Passbook
- Enter UAN
- Click on Get OTP & Submit OTP
- Select Member ID & Download e-Passbook
For using the UMANG application, you can download the application from both Google Play Store and Apple App Store. After you’re done installing the application you can register with the application by using your mobile number. After you have registered with the application you can use available services as per your requirements.
