This just doesn’t seem to end. And we are not complaining.
Over the months, ever since the lockdown has been announced, a whole lot of mountain ranges across the county have become visible to the human eyes from over 200-km afar. From Gangotri Range visible from Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur to Dhauldhar range in Himachal Pradesh visible from Punjab to Pir Panjal range visible from Srinagar there has been so much to behold.
And all this is due to a dip in air pollution over the months. Coming back to the story, this time, the world’s third-highest peak, Kangchenjunga, is now visible from West Bengal.
A picture of Kangchenjunga – also spelled Kanchenjunga was posted by Twitter user @mundhrashish. In the picture, the user mentions how the mountain is now clearly visible from his home in Siliguri and it looks absolutely mesmerising.
Twitter users joined in to say a word or two about the mesmerising view:
I’m sure he is still watching. pic.twitter.com/cZYPh0m35v

Thanks for the post! Reminds me of my childhood spent in Siliguri (College para) .. on crisp autumn days we, too, could spot the outline from the kitchen window of our home. Some of the best times were spent in that house. 🙂

I remember the blue ‘wall of hills’. Going up from NJP towards Darjeeling, that would be clearly visible as soon as we left Siliguri behind. And add to the feeling that yes, we are going up into the mountains.
And it looks beautiful

2. People in Jalandhar woke to a view of the Dhauldhar range that rests in Himachal Pradesh and its neighbouring states.
3. Recently, the Gangotri range in Uttarakhand was visible from UP’s Saharanpur.
