After three months of all the positives, 2021 is beginning to look like a flashback of 2020 as the COVID-19 cases in India has begun to rise once again. Over the past few days, coronavirus cases in India have been crossing 25,000 marks and the Centre and State governments are surely worried.
While the vaccination drive is underway, but to further control the spread of the virus, some states have called lockdown or just enforced night curfew.
With that being said, here is the list of states that have imposed fresh lockdown or night curfew to fight the surge in coronavirus cases in India.
1. Punjab
Reportedly, the district Ropar in Punjab has called for a night curfew from 11 PM to 5 AM. Also, other cities in the state experiencing a night curfew are Mohali, Patiala, Jalandhar, Fatehgarh Sahib, Hoshiarpur, Kapurthala, Nawanshahr, Rupnagar and Ludhiana.
2. Madhya Pradesh
In Madhya Pradesh, the government has called for a night curfew in Bhopal and Indore from 10 PM to 6 AM. People travelling to MP from Maharashtra will have to undergo a 7-day quarantine.

3. Nagpur
Nagpur city has been put under lockdown for a week, which was effective from 15th March.
4. Pune
In Pune, a night curfew from 11 PM to 6 AM has been imposed. The schools and colleges will also remain shut till 31st March whereas hotels and restaurants are operable till 10 PM only. Food delivery and malls can be functional till 11 PM.
5. Gujarat
As of now, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, and Ahmedabad cities in Gujarat have imposed a night curfew from 10 PM to 6 AM till 31st March.
6. Uttarakhand
Some parts of Mussoorie have been under complete lockdown such as the Galway Cottage area, Barlow Ganj area, St. George’s school. At the same time, shops and offices in the hilly city will also remain shut.

7. Nashik
Nasik city has a night curfew from 7 PM to 7 AM but hotels and restaurants are allowed to function till 9 PM with only 50% capacity. As per the district administration, only 25-30 people can attend a wedding or a function.
