Lockdown to contain the COVID-19 has punctured the economy for sure. Not only the big companies but small and medium traders and businessmen are also hit. In fact, they are the ones who are hit badly due to this lockdown and pandemic.
One such person is Hukumchand Soni from Jaipur. Soni has been running a jewelry shop for the past 25 years. Now, he is selling vegetables. Soni has a shop by the name GP Jewellery Shop in Jaipur’s Ram Nagar.
Now, in the same shop, he has green vegetables instead or ornaments and a new set of daily customers. “It’s been four days since I started selling vegetables. This is the only way I can survive (the lockdown). “I have no big savings, no big capital, so I started selling vegetables“, said Soni to PTI.
