Locust attacks have been wreaking havoc in the country while governments and people continue to fight against them. After destroying crops in countries including Pakistan and Iran, the swarms of locust have made its way to Indian states like Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh and more.
To tackle the situation, while the governments have deployed drones and more, farmers, on the other hand, have come up with desi jugaads. Recently, someone installed a DJ at their farm to keep locusts away and now in another hack, this man has installed an airplane.
The video shows an ‘airplane’ mounted on a pole placed in the centre of a field. The ‘airplane’ is made of fan blades, a plastic bottle, a can and a cardboard tail. The ‘airplane’ rotates on top of the pole as it makes a loud noise to keep the locusts away.

Reportedly, loud noises keep locust at bay. And the best part is that it utilizes wind energy and is 100% eco-friendly. People also came forward to appreciate the man’s innovative idea.
