Popular Chinese social media platform TikTok is planning to venture into the ed-tech sector in India in an attempt to add variety to the content it caters. Reportedly, Tiktok has approached a number of content creators who will produce educational videos.
In a recent announcement, TikTok said it is working with several educational firms and creators from India under #EduTok.
As a part of the same, the creators will share regular 15-second long videos on the platform that will focus on spewing career advice, new languages, motivational talks and life tips. The learning-related videos will also cover topics ranging from school-level Math and Science to health and fitness.
TikTok claims its platform already has over 10 million videos under the hashtag #EduTok.

Moroverove, TikTok has partnered with startups and known brands like edantu, Vidya Guru, Hello English, CETKing, Oppr, Made Easy, and GradeUp, which will produce educational content for the platform.
