The Gautam Buddha administration has set up new guidelines for people wanting to travel between Delhi and Noida in lockdown 4.
In an order, the authorities said that the Noida-Delhi border will remain sealed, except for the movement of people associated with exempted services till May 31. The decision comes days after the lockdown was extended by the government till May 31.
Initially, vehicles were allowed for people (with e-pass) travelling for work to cross the city borders in the NCR region. However, that resulted in traffic jams at checkpoints on Kalindi Kunj and DND Flyway.

Noida authorities have been strict when it comes to allowing people to enter the city from Delhi. People with E-passes issued by the DM’s office are the only ones to get past the barricades.
A senior Uttar Pradesh Police official was quoted by news agency PTI saying, “We are checking every vehicle but sometimes it becomes very difficult due to the numbers of vehicles. People with valid passes are being allowed. However, if someone does not have a pass and is carrying some important items like medicine, they are also being allowed.”
Delhi Traffic Police has asked people to travel only if they have E-pass or they might have to return.
“As UP police is allowing entry to Noida only for vehicle heaving movement pass issued by DM Noida. People travelling from Delhi to Noida using Kalindi Kunj barrage flyover and DND flyover may plan their trip accordingly,” it had tweeted.
Moreover, only two people are allowed on a bike only in cases where the second rider is a lady. Or else one rider is allowed.
