An innovative new e-visa system has been established by Namibia. The launch date is slated for March 3, 2025. The goal of the new change is to expedite and improve the efficiency of the admission procedure for foreign visitors. Officials have stressed that the e-Visa platform has not yet gone online, despite some reports indicating technical difficulties with the system.

New visa restrictions for nationals of 33 countries will go into force on April 1, 2025. Here is all the information you want if you are from one of these countries:

33 Affected Countries:

Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Moldova, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Uzbekistan are among the nations that are impacted.

The price of obtaining a visa is 1,600 Namibian dollars (INR 7,575) for citizens of these 33 countries. Entry sites, such as the airports at Windhoek and Walvis Bay, offer visas.

The Ministry of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety, and Security’s (MHAISS) Executive Director, Etienne Maritz, claims that the system’s user-friendly and effective design would cut down on delays and improve the convenience of travelling to Namibia.
