As Ayushmann Khurrana’s ‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan‘ hit the theaters yesterday it got praises from the U.S.President. On Friday U.S.President Donald Trump who is about to come to India tweeted his response to the movie.
“Great!” the US president wrote as he retweeted gay rights activist Peter Tatchell’s own expression of support for the ground-breaking movie. This came as a surprise as Trump is not a regular advocate of gay rights.

The movie is Bollywood’s first gay rom-com movie. The movie talks about the issue of homosexuality in a conservative society like India. The Supreme Court scrapped a colonial-era ban on homosexuality only in 2018.
