Taking a step forward in giving women an enhanced place in the Indian Armed forces, the Indian Air Force has included two women officer’s in its contingent for this year’s Republic Day parade.
As per reports from ANI two lady officers Flight Lieutenants Gagandeep Gill and Reema Rai are selected in the 148-member Indian Air Force contingent for the Republic day parade.

The move comes after the induction of women in combat roles was approved by Airforce and Army. Airforce has inducted women, pilots, while the Army rolled out vacancies for women soldier last year
