Following the likes of food delivery apps like ‘Swiggy‘ and ‘Zomato’ cab aggregator, Uber has stepped in. While it has suspended its cab and other transportation services Uber has opened up its new services.
Uber has rolled out its ‘Uber Direct’ services. As a part of it, Uber has partnered with a number of companies across the globe to deliver essential items. In India, Uber has partnered with Flipkart to deliver groceries to people in select cities. Uber’s two new services are now live on its app. The groceries and essentials service is named as ‘Uber direct’.

Uber Connect allows people to easily send packages to one another from the Uber app.

The services Uber Direct and Uber Connect as of now are available in select cities around the world. “Shoppers can now place orders from select retailers and get their items delivered right to their doorstep—without contact”, said Uber. Uber Connect is a courier service that is on offer.

Uber connect enables users to send packages to friends and family in a contactless manner. This service is available within the Uber app in select cities across the world as of now.
