Maharashtra’s Cheif Minister (CM) Uddhav Thackrey met Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the first time after being sworn in as the CM of the state following a series of month-long political drama.

PM Modi arrived in Pune on Friday evening ahead of the conference of directors general (DGs) and inspectors general (IGs) of police which he would attend on Saturday. The two leaders met in the airport lounge following which the prime minister left for Raj Bhavan.

Besides Thackeray, home minister Amit Shah, former Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis and Governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari were present to receive Modi.
