Well, when was the last time you had a hair cut in saloon or barbers shop? Maybe before the COVID-19 lockdown right? Did you carry your Aadhaar Card to the saloon/barber’s shop? Now, you would say what rubbish I am talking about right?. Well, you would now need to do this in unlock 1 if you are in this state.
Saloons and barbershops are allowed to be opened under Unlock 1. To ensure that social distancing is practiced state governments are making rules. Doing so the Tamil Nadu state government has made Aadhaar number mandatory for hair cuts. This new rule has come to affect from day 1 of Unlock 1.
It is mandatory for the salons to take names, addresses, phone numbers, and Aadhaar card numbers of their customers before giving them services. “The salons, beauty parlors, and spas should maintain a register for noting down the name, address, mobile number, and Aadhaar card details of the customers” read the circular of government.
