On Monday, the Uttarakhand government has extended the ongoing Covid-19 curfew in the state for more than 7 days. The officials said that the Covid-induced curfew has been extended by another week in the state.
During previous relaxations, all the government offices were opened to function with 100 per cent capacity. Business establishments and shops were also permitted to open from 8 am to 9 pm six days a week, whereas water parks were allowed to operate with 50 per cent capacity.

The government extended the curfew in the state to prevent the COVID situation from getting worse. Also, it is expected that the restrictions in Uttarakhand can be eased on September 15, if the situation in the state looks better.
However, as per the order issued by the Uttarakhand government in respect of the extended restrictions, all political, social, and entertainment-related gatherings are prohibited, though; the government has said that the vaccination drive can proceed without any setbacks.
